QCSI and ACTEK to Combine Next Generation Health Plan Enterprise Information System

Quality Care Solutions Inc. (QCSI®), a leading provider of advanced information technology and enterprise application software and services for healthcare payors, announced today it has entered into a partnership with ACTEK Inc., a Birmingham, Ala.-based leader in Enterprise Incentive Management solutions, to provide its payors with a technologically advanced and functionally rich commission and incentive processing solution.

QCSI will leverage its patented architecture to integrate ACTEK's ACom3 Commission and Incentive Compensation System into QNXT, QCSI's enterprise application system for achieving business outcomes at the lowest total cost of ownership. ACom3 delivers 100% automation of commission and bonus payouts to all payees regardless of the complexity of the client environment. This level of automation is made possible by the strength of the ACom3 Integration Engine, its client-defined, rules-based payout logic, and ACom3's ability to deliver Web-based reports and statements to all payees.

Mark Kajdos, CEO of ACTEK, indicated, "ACTEK is pleased to be a QCSI partner and we look forward to joining our two leading software solutions. The integration of the ACom3 Commission and Incentive Compensation application into the QNXT product will greatly increase the functionality available to QCSI's healthcare payor customers. Our knowledge and experience in this marketplace and our ability to streamline and automate the complex process of managing commission and incentives make us a natural fit for the QNXT product suite."

"By integrating Enterprise Incentive Management with our QNXT enterprise application system, health plans will enjoy the benefits of an accurate, effective and paperless commission and incentive compensation payout process which supports the calculation of commission and bonus payouts to any type of payee -- broker, advisor, agent, agency, sales staff, executive -- and which eliminates exception processing, manual calculations and manual adjustments," stated Dave Engert, CEO of QCSI.

Engert continued, "This union of ACTEK and QCSI's advanced technologies will provide payors with a comprehensive, enterprisewide application and incentive compensation solution, extending the power and functionality of our individual products and enhancing the information technology value proposition for payors nationwide."
